Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) is a non-invasive diagnostic test that measures how well your lungs are working by assessing lung volume, capacity, airflow, and gas exchange. Using a spirometer, the test records the amount of air you inhale and exhale and how quickly you can do so. PFTs are crucial for detecting and monitoring conditions like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory disorders. They can also be used to evaluate unexplained cough or breathlessness, track the effectiveness of ongoing treatment, and assess lung function before major surgery.
Our Facility:
- Comprehensive PFTs including spirometry, lung volume, and gas exchange studies
- Spirometry performed before and after bronchodilator use to assess treatment response
- Tests interpreted by experienced pulmonologists with comparison to standard reference values
- Suitable for diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up monitoring of chronic lung diseases
- Conducted in a safe, hygienic, and well-ventilated environment
- Reports delivered the next day
