Diagnostic Service - Lower GI Endoscopy
Home / Services / Gastroenterology / Lower GI Endoscopy
Lower GI Endoscopy is a non-surgical procedure that uses a flexible endoscope with a light and camera to examine the inner lining of the large intestine (colon and rectum). It helps detect causes of symptoms such as rectal bleeding, chronic diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, or unexplained weight loss. The procedure can also identify conditions like polyps, ulcers, inflammation, or early signs of colorectal cancer. In many cases, tissue samples can be taken (biopsy) or polyps removed during the test. Booking is mandatory.
