
Dr. Rajarshi Neogi is a Neuro-psychiatry practitioner and dedicated professor with expertise spanning multiple sub-specialties, including Neuropsychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, De-addiction Medicine, Psychotherapy, Counselling, Sex Therapy, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He is among the young and dynamic academicians from West Bengal who have significantly contributed to advancing psychiatric research from the state at a national level. Dr. Neogi completed his schooling at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and earned his MBBS from R. G. Kar Medical College, Kolkata. He undertook a brief research stint in Molecular Neuroscience at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, focusing on Wilsons Disease and Movement Disorders. He then pursued postgraduate training in Psychiatry at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, where he distinguished himself academically. He also received short-term training at NIMHANS, Bengaluru. Currently, Dr. Neogi previously attached with at the Institute of Psychiatry, IPGME&R/SSKM Hospital, Kolkata, where he is involved in postgraduate teaching, academic coordination, and research. Currently he is attached with R. G. Kar Medical College and Suraksha Clinic Kolkata. He is a co-investigator in the National Mental Health Survey and is leading the state-funded SCOPE study, both utilizing advanced real-time electronic data collection.
