LC-MS/MS is a powerful analytical technique. It combines high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), a powerful analytical separation technique, with mass spectrometry, a highly sensitive detection technique. This technology provides high-sensitivity detection of conventional and specialized clinical chemistry analytes in areas of therapeutic drug monitoring, detection of inborn errors of metabolism (newborn screening by Tandem mass spectrometry), estimation of 25 Hydroxy Vitamin D, measurement of steroids, hormones and many more.

Suraksha is the first clinical laboratory in entire Eastern India to introduce LC-MS/MS for the detection of inborn errorsof metabolism by newborn screening (NBS) and Vitamin D analysis. NBS should be performed for babies max. up to 30 days of age (ideally within 3rd-5th days after birth). This method is considered to be the Gold Standard for these tests.
