Dr. Chowdhury holds over thirteen years of experience as a Consultant Biochemist in
Suraksha Diagnostics. She also held the position of Quality Manager in Suraksha from 2013-
2012. Currently, she is the Section Director of Clinical Biochemistry, Immunology,
Biochemical Genetics (LC-MS/ MS) Department in Central lab of Suraksha Diagnostics Pvt.
Ltd, Kolkata.
She has been a Technical Assessor – Biochemistry completing successfully nearly 50 audits
in various medical laboratories on behalf of National Accreditation Board for Testing &
Calibration Laboratories (NABL) as per the latest ISO 15189:2022.
She was also a Reviewer: Consensus Committee on Quality Systems and Laboratory
Practices at Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI), Pennsylvania, USA
from year 2 0 1 3 - 2014.
Dr. Chowdhury was an invited guest as Resource Person and Chairperson in an esteemed
scientific session at the 5th Annual Academic Sessions 2020 organized by The College of
Chemical Pathologists of Sri Lanka along with IFCC collaboration at Colombo, Sri
Lanka.
She is a Life Member of IMA, AMBI, ACCLMP and ACBI.
She has multiple publications in reputed National journals.
She has also taken a leading role in accreditation of Suraksha Lab by College of American
Pathologists (CAP) and NABL and has successfully faced 4 CAP and 7 NABL audits till
date.
She has also participated in various state, national and international conferences as a
Speaker and a Panellist.
In September 2021, she was invited as Speaker and Panellist on “Hands-On Workshop on
Antinuclear Antibody Testing by Indirect Immunofluorescence Microscopy” at NRS Medical
college and hospital held under the aegis of West Bengal Chapter of AMBICON.
Participated as a delegate and presented a poster on “Quantification of 25-hydroxy Vitamin
D2 & D3 assays by LC -MS/MS methodology in a modern diagnostic laboratory” in the 5th
National Conference on “Frontiers in MS Technology & Emerging Applications in Chennai
23rd-24th Nov’2022.
In July’23, she participated as a panellist on “Oncobiomarkers “in a CME organized under the
aegis of ACCLMP in association with RUBY HOSPITALS, KOLKATA.
Recently, she has been an Organizing Secretary and a Speaker in the 15th Pre-conference CME
cum Workshop on “Basics and Principles of LC-MS” organized under the aegis of ACCLMP
conducted in Suraksha on 18th January’2024. She has also participated as a speaker for Good
Clinical Laboratory Practice(GCLP) in May’2023 & 2024.
