Dr. Debarshi Sanyal, has been passionate about genetics from budding days of his career, he received his initial training from Bose Institute Kolkata and further received his comprehensive training in cytogenetics from Centre For Human Genetics, Bangalore. He completed his PhD in Medical Genetics and pursued Advanced Molecular Cytogenetics courses on Spectral Karyotyping, CGH and DNA Microarray. Then he underwent a course work on Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics.
Dr Sanyal has been instrumental in setting up Cytogenetics Laboratories abroad, Amcare Labs Malaysia in Affiliation with Johns Hopkins Laboratories USA followed by leading cytogenetics lab in India. He has been guiding and training teams of young scientist, enrolling in quality assessment programmes and successfully completed laboratory accreditation programme like NABL and CAP.
